List of Special Pricing for Zones
One of the most important settings that directly affects the assessment and cost of a trip is the ability to set special prices for specific routes, areas, and zones. Thanks to this setting, it's possible to establish special prices for designated areas, which take priority over the base rates. In cases where a trip originates from one of these specified zones, the trip cost will be calculated based on these special prices.
Let's now take a closer look at this section. First and foremost, upon accessing the section, a list of all added settings will be available. Each setting is represented by: the setting ID, direction from and to, direction indicator (from zone A to zone B, from zone B to zone A, both ways), priority (used in cases where two settings overlap, and it needs to be determined which one has higher priority. For example, the zone of France and the airport zone in France. If the price per KM in France is 2 euros, but from the airport it's 3 euros, the priority helps the system to understand that all orders in the France zone should be considered at 2 euros, but from the airport at 3 euros). Also, the list includes indicators such as: whether the price is fixed or not, fixed price (if set), price per KM for a one-way trip, price per KM for a return trip, minimum trip price.
Also, the fields for priority, fixed price, price for a one-way trip, price for a round trip, and minimum price are active and, for convenience, allow their values to be changed directly in the list of all settings. To change a value, double-click on the field, and after making your edits, press "Enter".
Now, let's take a closer look at the option to add a new setting or edit an existing one. To add a new setting, there is an "Add New" button at the top of the pop-up window. For editing, there is a "More Info" button for each setting. The form for adding a new setting or editing an existing one is the same, and the only difference is that in one case the form will be empty (adding a new setting), while in the other, it will already be filled with previously entered data.
Upon opening, the form presents a main window with basic settings along with several additional tabs. The layout is made to closely resemble the standard pricing for trips, thus making the filling process straightforward and hassle.
In this tab, you need to specify the following parameters: zone A, zone B, priority, bidirectional or one-way only (yes/no) — if bidirectional is selected, then the system will apply these settings for trips from zone A to zone B and vice versa, from zone B to zone A. Also, an option is available to specify whether this route has a fixed price or will be evaluated based on KM. At the bottom, you can indicate that the cost for this route will be sent upon request, and you can also specify the system administrator’s percentage that will be added to the estimated cost for taxi companies.
In this section, you can set your prices for trips within the specified zones. Let's take a closer look at each setting:
Road tolls / Parking fee — A fixed sum that is added to the total cost of the trip;
One way price — Fixed cost for a one-way trip. This is used if you indicated in the previous settings that the trip cost is fixed;
Price per KM (One way) — Cost per KM of travel (used if the trip cost is not fixed). Additionally, in this setting, you can specify the cost per KM based on the length of the trip. For example: trips from 0 to 10 KM = 1.5 euros, from 10 to 30 KM = 1.3 euros, from 30 to 50 KM = 1.1 euros, from 50 KM onwards = 1 euro;
Return price — Fixed cost of round trip;
Price per KM (Return) — Cost per kilometer in the absence of fixed fees. Additionally, price adjustment based on trip length is available;
Return discount (%) — Discount on the return trip. This applies when the user books a round trip. If a value is set in this field, the return trip will be priced with a discount;
Minimum price — Minimum trip cost. If the estimated cost per kilometer is less than the specified minimum cost, the order will be valued at no less than the specified minimum cost;
Standing fee — A fixed amount that is added to the total cost of the trip;
Stop-way minimum price — Fixed fee for additional stop. A fixed fee is applied for any additional stop along the route, which is added to the total cost of the order. Despite this fixed sum, the overall cost of the trip is also reviewed, considering potential changes in the route and an increase in travel time;
Prepayment on cash (fixed) — Fixed deposit amount when paying in cash. The deposit amount is paid by card;
Prepayment on cash (%) — The percentage of the order value that is paid by card as a deposit when paying in cash.
In this section, you can list the prices for the additional services provided:
Meet & greet - Meeting at the airport with a sign;
Place for disabled - Accessibility for people with disabilities;
Baby seat - Infant chair;
Booster seat - Child's chair;
Ski equipment - Place for ski equipment;
Passenger fee - One-time fee as a landing tax per passenger;
Pets fee - Animal transportation, cost per animal;
Waiting time price - Waiting time cost per minute.
Important: If the cost of any setting is the same as the cost of the basic settings, or if the settings are left blank, their cost will automatically be derived from the basic prices. Thus, you do not need to duplicate prices for each setting if they are the same as the base prices.
Completely similar to the settings described in the section "Day/night pricing block".
Similarly, as with the settings above, if these fields are left blank, the order will default to the basic settings.
These settings allow you to set available payment methods for trips in certain areas. To enable a payment method, just check the box; to deactivate, uncheck the box.
